Retirement Counselors, Inc. was established to provide retirement counseling services to retirees and near-retirees for companies such as Motorola, IBM, and Southwestern Bell.  Richard Kilmer is President of Retirement Counselors, Inc.

Office staff includes Gary Finlay, who retired from IBM in 1994 and helps Rick in market analysis and portfolio design; Norma Smith who fills the position of Office Manager came with us after her husband retired from Motorola in 1998.

Richard O. Kilmer, CPA, CFP®
Rick graduated from Pan American University with a BBA in Accounting in 1973 and began his career as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand in Houston. He received his CPA certificate in 1976.

Rick started in the financial services industry in 1983 with CIGNA Financial Services in San Antonio and received his CFP® certification in 1989 through the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.

Rick moved to Securities America in 1994 specifically to be able to focus on Investment Advisory Services and Retirement Counseling.

Rick is a Registererd Principal through Securities America, Inc. and an Investment Advisory Representative of Securities America Advisors, Inc.
